Summary/Abstract: The article fallows the development of the legislation regarding the court‘s power to call the parties to settlement in the period between1880 and the present moment. It analyses the consecutive regulations with highligt on the related procedural provisions and includes remarks on the matter by renowned legal theorists of the appropriate period.
