Some Remarks on Interlingual Equivalence: Based on the Contrastive Analysis of Polish and Ukrainian Phraseology

Summary/Abstract: The article focuses on the problem of interlingual equivalence in the context of Polish and Ukrainian contemporary phraseology. The author provides examples of the use of parallel corpora in research on equivalence and outlines the concept of presenting the adequacy of phraseological units in the Leksykon aktywnej frazeologii polskiej i ukraińskiej [Dictionary of Active Polish and Ukrainian Phraseology]. The aim of the study is to draw attention to the importance of creating a new type of bilingual dictionaries, presenting the current state of phraseological resources, and the use of digital tools in contrastive analysis.
