Summary/Abstract: The development of artificial intelligence technologies, together with the availability of sufficient computing power to enable their efficient use, have created the possibility of their implementation in pharmaceutical research and development. In carrying out their activities, organizations in the pharmaceutical industry may use artificial intelligence technologies to streamline and develop some processes in the stages of research-development, clinical testing, production, distribution and promotion of drugs or other pharmaceuticals or during the patient monitoring and care. Certainly, the use of AI technologies in the pharmaceutical field has important advantages, but it also poses legal risks for the pharmaceutical organization and / or the AI developer. This article outlines how AI can be integrated into the pharmaceutical industry and examines the legal implications that these operations may have. Thus, the study addresses the risks arising from the improper processing of personal data, the risks of disclosure of confidential information, the risks of data security and liability for damage caused by products developed by AI.
