Summary/Abstract: The article addresses a new but extremely important legal issue in the development of the circular economy and of artificial intelligence, related to the civil liability related to this field of technological development. The intention of the Commission to govern, by directive, but also the resolution of the Parliament, calling on the Commission to submit a proposal for a regulation in this area, will be analysed. The article examines the two intentions and presents why the regulation would present a better codification in the field of artificial intelligence. At the same time, it addresses the issues of civil liability, starting from the specific elements of national law, to the need to establish a form of objective liability for artificial intelligence.
