THE INSTITUTIONAL EFFICIENCY OF PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION IN THE CONTEXT OF ATTRACTING INVESTORS – THE CASE OF GARWOLIN ECONOMIC ACTIVITY ZONE

Summary/Abstract: The main subject of this article is the institutional efficiency in terms of attracting investments to Garwolin Economic Activity Zone. Despite the fact that the investment offer in Garwolin met the theoretical conditions determining attractiveness, the local authorities struggled with attracting investors to the part of the zone covered by the provisions of the local spatial development plan. The study showed that in Garwolin, apart from the efficient actions of local authorities, there were simultaneously aspects that could negatively affect the process of attracting investors.
