Summary/Abstract: Observing the present situation of the Church in Poland and many other countries, one can see that she is struggling with a severe crisis. Among the causes of this crisis are, on the one hand, external cultural and social currents and, on the other hand, low sensitivity of theology and pastoral practice to the signs of the times and resistance to introducing new interpretations of faith truths. This article aims to map out solutions, outline ideas that could be taken into account as a theological context for corrective action in the face of a crisis not only of the polish Church but also of an approach to faith that transcends local problems. The problem is contained in the question: In what directions can the theologian today think about such changes in the Church that will limit the faithful's loss and open up the prospect of new possibilities? The answers are sought on the following levels: the hierarchy of truths, anthropocentrism in preaching, investment in the noetic layer of religiosity and openness of theology to interdisciplinarity.
