Summary/Abstract: F-35 JSF was developed by nine countries to meet the needs of today’s air combat. The fifth-generation F-35 aircraft is distinguished from its predecessor fourth-generation combat aircraft with its network-based combat infrastructure, low visibility, advanced radar, and detection systems. With the acquisition of the F-35 aircraft in the Turkish Air Force, it was planned to remove the F-4E-2020 plane from the inventory and become one of the forces using 5th generation fighter aircraft. However, after the supply of S-400 air defense systems to Turkey, it was excluded from the project. This situation will cause TuAF to encounter unplanned difficulties in the next 20 years.
