Summary/Abstract: In this study, it is aimed to reveal the problems faced by women in the academic field in higher education, where the employment rate of women is higher than other business lines in Turkey. This study is important in terms of revealing what the problem of “women employees” is in academic life as a special field. The problems faced by women academics in their working life have been evaluated in the context of female academicians working at Dicle University. In order to reveal these problems, in-depth interviews were conducted with the sample group consisting of 21 female academicians selected by “Simple Random Sampling Method” from female academicians working at Dicle University with qualitative research management. Although it is known that women are prevented from acting in a sexist approach in business life, female academicians working at Dicle University are not subjected to such discrimination and the obstacles in their career process are not caused by the institution, but by the high responsibility and workload in their private lives.
