Summary/Abstract: In this study, the story and poem of Cahit Sıtkı Tarancı, one of the most well-known poets of Turkish literature during the Republican Period. It was published and is emphasized under the common title "Abbas". Tarancı; He is a literary man who reflects or directly conveys events, people, objects and places from his personal life in his works. It is possible to use the adjective "he wrote what he lived" to better express this feature of him. In the introduction of the study, this aspect of Cahit Sıtkı is emphasized and the strong connection between his life and his works is clarified. After expressing the remarkable details about the relationship in question, the identities of "Abbas", which he fictionalized as an important type in both his poem and story, and "Beşiktaşlı", who is also the leading object of desire, are explained. In this context, the possibilities of psychoanalysis were utilized, and the possibility of Cahit Sıtkı's "shadow character" and "Beşiktaşlı"'s "deceptive figure", which "Abbas" unconsciously formed over the years, starting from his childhood years, was brought to attention. After mentioning the type of "poem-story" that emerged at the intersection of poetry and story under the next title, opinions were put forward that the poem under the same title should be evaluated as a “poem-story”.
