Summary/Abstract: The main object of this article is to discuss the epistemological difference between two terms: special languages and discourse languages. There seems to be an area of conflict between discoursive point of view and the terminological one. The author attempts to find the advantages on the former and the disadvantages on the latter. The analysis of some discourse languages, at both an inter- and intra-lingual levels, supports the theoretical perspective.
