Summary/Abstract: In 2021, the Hungarian legislature completely rewrote the criminal law rules against money laundering. The new regulation also considers money laundering to be conduct that was not a crime at all in the past. The new regulation is unrealistic and antihuman in many respects, but we have to see that the latest Hungarian legislation is in line with international trends.
