Summary/Abstract: We have been facing a worldwide coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) for morethan a year. The main aim of this study is to describe the overall impact of a pandemic on women’s lives. Specifically, these are women‑mothers, who are generally perceived as one of the most vulnerable groups in society (in terms of psychological and economic impacts). The present study is based on several qualitative interviews conducted in February 2021 with women‑mothers in the Pilsen Region. The pandemic in the Czech Republic has not been under control for a long time, although paradoxically, society has long been gripped by various restrictions and limitations. The Czech Republic, as one of the few countries, closed its education system for almost a year, demanded the social isolation of friends and families, but on the other hand, quite incomprehensibly left some shops and companies open. I tried to map the results of these unbalanced interventions in the lives of narrators in this study.
