Summary/Abstract: This study was conducted in order to examine the picture story books designed for preschool children between the years 2000-2020 in terms of internal and external structure characteristics. Descriptive method was used in the research. As a result of the literature review, 50 story books were examined with the "Story Book Examination Form" developed by the researchers. The review form consists of three main parts. These sections; imprint of the books, internal and external structure features of the book. In terms of internal structure features; subject, concept, theme, character, language and expression are discussed. As for the external structure; criteria such as size, quality of the paper, cover, binding, layout, font size and illustration were investigated. Responses were made by grading "Yes" or "No" as "Partially" in the evaluation form of the books whose formal and content analysis were made. The examined books’ internal structure and external structure properties were evaluated; the data obtained were entered into the SPSS analysis program, frequency analyzes were made and interpreted. As a result of the research, 48 of the books examined have the name of the author on the inner cover, 2 of them have not included the author, the age level is not specified in 44 of the books, 50 of the story books are written between 14-20 pt, etc. In the direction of the identification information is appropriate; It has been determined that the language used in 44 of the books is suitable for the development level of the child and that sound similarities are included in 23 of the books included in the study in order to create harmony in the text. It was found that 9 of the sample group books examined included the concept of friendship, 10 of them the concept of love, and 6 of them included the concept of self-efficacy.
