Summary/Abstract: The article analyzes distinguishing characteristics of the novel Night Roads by Gaito Gazdanov. The main theme of the article is a typical for this novel personal narrative, i.e. where the narrator is a hero and a participant of the events at the same time. The analysis of narrative techniques of this novel is a starting point to determine the semantics of the novel, and simultaneously, it is a base for the thesis that the novel proves modern tendencies and has non-homogenous genre.
