Summary/Abstract: The article deals with a little research of future Czech language and literature teachers. The research of their reading confirmed the aim of the modern story. They seem interested in the genres: young adult literature, war novels, and fantasy novels. Concerning genres and titles, the future teacher´s reading preferences are relatively stable.
