Medical terms in Kratko pokušenije o kalamlenju kravlji boginja by Jožef Satmari (1818) and Toržestveno lekarsko sočinenije o hranitelnoj boginji by Đorđe Pantelić (1832)

Summary/Abstract: The paper analyzes medical terminology (signs, diseases, their symptoms, and healing) of the Kratko pokušenije o kalamlenju kravlji boginja by Jožef Satmari from 1818. and Toržestveno lekarsko sočinenije o hranitelnoj boginji by Đorđe Pantelić from 1832. In addition to basic information about terminology, the paper also contains data about the author and language of the text. The collected data are given in a dictionary form, with notes about lexicographic processing. Noted terminological system was analyzed according to its structure and origin, then compared to terminological system of the modern Serbian language in order to establish reasons for preserving and/or losing certain terms.
