Summary/Abstract: The book authored by Titela Vîlceanu, appeared in 2017 under Universitaria Craiova, and offers an insight view into the intricate world of translation studies as a well-framed process and considered in relation to domains it interferes with. The book offers a binary perspective on the translation phenomenon, shedding light on the theoretical as well as practical standpoints, by framing translation as process and as profession. The translator is considered from the point of view of the competences that need to be assimilated in order to become a good professional, with special focus on digital skills.
