Summary/Abstract: The following paper tackles the issue of the state reforms in the post-Soviet Central Asian republics. Particular attention was paid to the amendments in the constitutions of these countries. The thesis was confirmed that Central Asian autocracies have evidenced a common tendency to supremacy of the presidents and their domination over the whole political system. It was argued, that such a process is in line with an archetype of strong, personal political power. The final conclusion is that at the current stage of the political development post-Soviet Central Asian republics constitute a type of contemporary authoritarian regime.
