Summary/Abstract: The primary objective of this paper is to analyze the use of pronouns and numbers as adjectives in Dîvânü Lügâti’t-Türk. Considering that the analysis is based on concrete contextual examples from this encyclopedia which encompasses all the features of Turkic languages in the 11th century, this paper should contribute to better understanding and knowledge of grammatical and semantical structure of Turkish language from a diachronic perspective. Actually, the results obtained from the analysis should contribute to better knowledge and understanding of fundamental morphological and semantic characteristics of pronouns and numbers in Turkish language. The analysis pays special attention to grammatical and semantical structures of pronouns and number functioning as adjectives.
