Prelate Zdzisław Kałwa (1931 – 2021)

Summary/Abstract: Memory of the prelate Zdzisław Kałwa. He was born on December 20, 1931 in the village of Szpitary (Brzesko parish). He had four siblings. He studied at St. Jacek gymnasyum in Kraków, and then at the Major Theological Seminary of the Archdiocese Kraków. He was ordained a priest in 1955. He worked in parishes in Jeleśnia, Bielsko-Biała Leszczyny and in Kraków-Kosocice. After a serious car accident, he was moved (at his own request) to Wadowice.między He was, inter alia, a teacher of religion, the guardian of altar boys and the chaplain of the Catholic Intelligentsia Club (Klub Inteligencji Katolickiej) in Wadowice. He died on January 21, 2021. He is buried in the municipal cemetery.
