Elements of intangible cultural heritage from Bistrița-Năsăud County inscribed on the UNESCO Representative List

Summary/Abstract: The present study aims to present the elements of intangible cultural heritage from Bistrița-Năsăud County inscribed on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Humanity. A particular current issue in the national cultural landscape is the safeguarding of the intangible cultural heritage, in this sense being relevant the Romanian elements introduced in this document. Among them, we will present the ones referring to the Men`s group Colindat/Christmas time ritual, respectively the Land`s dance in Romania, tradition from Bistrița-Năsăud County inscribed on this list. At the same time, we will mention the main projects and conferences in which we have participated in the last year, ways in which we have promoted these heritage elements. Knowledge and promotion of the intangible cultural heritage is vital for an in-depth understanding of the values of traditional culture. By studying these aspects, an adequate knowledge of all the elements of heritage mentioned during this article is ensured.
