Summary/Abstract: The paper aims at clarifying some essential aspects regarding the application of the EU Regulation2016/679 to the activity of the courts of law, considering the specific nature of this activity, all the while referring to a series of notions that must be familiar to all those in charge of the processing of personal data and illustrating, at the same time, a practical example, often found in the courts' activity.
