Summary/Abstract: In 1721, monk Gavrilo made the proceedings which consisted of transcriptions of, at least, 17 charters about property, position and privileges of the monastery St. Nikola in Vranjina. While working with transcriptions, he made some orthographic changes, in accordance to the orthography of the time, but it did not change the nature of the charter transcriptions. Those transcriptions are very important for history because some of those charters are known only from his proceedings. Being interested in Montenegrin history, Russian historians Ivan Jastrebov and Pavle Rovinski published in full, which is in long and short fragments, the most of charter transcriptions from the proceedings. That way, they gave solid basis for studying the past of the monastery. Today, their work is invaluably significant because the proceedings disappeared at the end of the19th century.
