Summary/Abstract: Due to having a 911 km border with Syria, Turkey has been the state most affected by the security, military and demographic concerns etc. caused by the Syrian Civil War. Due to the harassment and attacks of terrorist organizations against its borders, Turkey conducted four major cross-border operations in northern Syria in order to prevent the establishment of a terror corridor on the border line and to establish safe zones where four million Syrians can live in a safe and secure manner. In this context, the reasons, targets and results of the operations carried out by the Turkish Armed Forces were examined and analysed. The achievements of Turkey’s policy on Syria, and the military capabilities of the Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) in operations were evaluated by utilising relationship between reasons and results in this study.
