Summary/Abstract: This article focuses on two transdisciplinary projects: “Mississippi. An Anthropocene River” and “Feral Atlas. The More-Than-Human Anthropocene.” Their aim is to explore new methods of knowledge production and educational practices in relation to global environmental crises. Re-search and field reports, artistic and activist initiatives, seminars, discussions led by researchers from the sciences, humanities, social sciences, but also representatives of indigenous communities, are presented on interactive digital platforms. They constitute a media phenomenon and are based on various ways of interaction with the user. They offer tools that allow one to go beyond the West-ern European philosophical methodologies and be open to new ways of telling stories about reality. The author analyzes the projects, considering the contents presented on both platforms and their structure, while referring to the philosophical concepts with which their creation was associated (new materialism, anti-colonial theories). This article aims to define what speculation is and what it allows for in contemporary humanities, in which the incorporation of methods and approaches of indigenous and marginalized communities plays an important role. It also answers questions about who such endeavors are aimed at.
