Summary/Abstract: The article presents the issues of establishing social cooperatives by church legal entities. First, a historical outline of charity and cooperative activities is presented, and then the issue of the definition of a social cooperative in accordance with Polish law. Then, the legal basis for the rights of church legal persons to establish social cooperatives and the specificity of the statute of these cooperatives are presented. The final conclusions are presented in the last part of the article.
