Summary/Abstract: Today, the worker type that businesses want most is the one who works voluntarily, does the job with love, has a high power of communication and adapts with the objectives of the business. Also, in this research it has taken a decisive role that there has been no research determining the effects of the training and development activities on the emergence of this type of over task behaviors on the workers. In this study, the relationships between education and development activities and organizational citizenship behaviors in human resources have been analyzed, also the effect level of education and development activities on organizational citizenship behavior have been determined. Besides, it aims within the body of a holding company which operates in retail selling, building and product sector in Konya have been done an analyze. In this study, results of correlation analysis indicated that there was a significant and positive relationship between organizational citizenship behavior and perceived educational chances, perceived supervisor support for education, perceived workmate support for education, learning motivation in education programs, individual benefits expected from education and career expectations regarding education, which are all subdimensions of education and development activities. Results of regression analysis showed that perceived education chances, learning motivation in education programs and individual benefits expected from education had a positive effect on organizational citizenship behavior. Whereas, those sub-dimensions of education and development activities which are perceived supervisor support for education, perceived workmate support for education and career expectations regarding education had no significant effect on organizational citizenship behavior.
