Summary/Abstract: In the presented article, the author focuses on the possible criminal law effects of media behaviour with an emphasis on the ongoing corona crisis. He conceives his contribution in two basic lines, first of all he considers the possibility of criminal punishment of the media (or individuals appearing in the media) primarily in connection with issues related to COVID-19. He analyses, in particular, whether it is possible to punish such situations through the Criminal Code, respectively under what circumstances would this be permissible. The assessment of the situation in question is also carried out with regard to the basic principles of substantive criminal law, primarily with emphasis on the principle of legality (nullum crimen sine lege) and the principle of subsidiarity of criminal repression. The second basic line of the presented article is an insight into the mediation of information about criminal proceedings through the media (and the impacts associated with it), and not only at the time of the corona crisis.
