Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the main assumptions of the functioning of the Smart Village concept in the context of sustainable development. The functioning of this concept was assessed through the prism of the experiences of other European countries. An analysis of the possibility of introducing regulations regarding Smart Village into the Polish legal system was also carried out. The issue that is subject to evolutionary evaluation concerns, first of all, the possibility of functioning of this concept in Polish agriculture.
