Summary/Abstract: The occurrence of the gramophone was a turning point in the existence of sound reproduction. These devices, made in a multitude of shapes and sizes, were, from the very beginning, built in the form of furniture, compact, elegant, which took the name of phonograph. This is a mechanical-acoustic device for reproducing sounds recorded on ebonite discs. The condition of our Gramophone was precarious, it showed advanced degradation. Restoration interventions consisted of improving the state of preservation and restoring the functionality of the turntable. It is also relevant to these musical devices - in addition to their appearance and the strict observance of the museum's requirements regarding the state of preservation - that through the played sounds, they become a testimony of technology development.
