Summary/Abstract: The article presents the results of a study of communication skills and its role in coping with the stress of employment by university graduates. The conducted research has revealed: a) the average indicators of communication skills of male and female respondents differ - girls are more inclined to communication skills than boys; b) the level of sociability does not depend on the chosen specialty; c) there is a direct relationship between the level of sociability and the assessment of the stressfulness of the situation, the higher the level of communication, the higher the perceived degree of threat, the degree of loss, the difficulty of understanding the situation of employment.
