Summary/Abstract: The beauty has a very wide meaning and, at the same time, very narrow for each individual particularly. People live in a society, being often influenced by other people, beginning with the closest ones as parents, sisters, brothers, friends, lovers, partners, etc. and society as a whole. Thus, taking into consideration that every country has its particular socio-cultural context, and as well the individuality of every person, we have decided to carry out a study regarding the social representation of beauty in the Republic of Moldova. In the given article we present the structure of social representation of beauty among people of the Republic of Moldova, namely the elements of central core and peripheral field. Respondents are of different age ranging from 18 to 60 years, as well as among them there are men and women. Among the associations attributed to beauty there are such words as family, material values, nature, different parts of body (men have mentioned breast sometimes), health, love, music, life, different accessories, different kinds of leisure, flowers, neatness, youthfulness. In the article we are going to arrange and point out the range of frequency and importance of words that entered into the structure of social representation of beauty.
