Summary/Abstract: The article considers the names of beverages in Azerbaijani culinary vocabulary. These lexical units are analyzed in the linguistic and cultural highlight. The word "beverage", used in the word form "içki" in the Azerbaijani language, is analyzed. It is noted that the names of the national drinks of Azerbaijan are mainly Turkic words and are derived from verbs.
