Summary/Abstract: Having recently returned from a cultural confrontation with Venice and the achievements of the Romanian Institute there, Adriana Babeţi tries to outline both the theoretical and the practical extensions of culture, as it appears in the context of a cultural center abroad. The author makes a series of observations regarding the functional organization of such a project, assessing the chances of our country to evolve within the framework imposed by European standards.
