Summary/Abstract: On December 12, 2021, elections for the post of the President of state were held in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. Since the founding of the republic in 1990, this has been the seventh election campaign.Despite the predictability of the results, the incumbent President Vadim Krasnoselsky was re-elected for a new term, the election results demonstrated a number of serious systemic problems that have accumulated in the political system of Transnistria.The purpose of the work is to analyze the main stages of the election campaign for the presidential elections in Transnistria, as well as the impact of the election results on the level of legitimacy of the political system
