Summary/Abstract: In this essay I make an attempt to clarify the ambiguous meaning of Heidegger’s interpretation of Nietzsche’s philosophy as metaphysics and as the end of metaphysics. My thesis is that the main problem and weakness in Heidegger’s interpretation of Nietzsche’s thought is ignoring the fundamental role and interpretation of Dionysian wisdom in Nietzsche’s conception of Being as will to power and eternal return of the same.
