Summary/Abstract: The editorial analyses the entry into force of this amending text of the Convention, for all States Parties, starting from August 1, 2021, following the ratification of the Protocol by the Italian State on April 21, 2021. Conceived as a comprehensive reform process of the system of protection of fundamental rights and freedoms arising from the application of the European Convention, this Protocol is part of the general framework of the adaptation of the European Regional System for the Protection of Human Rights, by adjusting the organization of the Court and the procedures to the challenges arising from practice.
