Summary/Abstract: The focus of the article is Arne Vogelsang’s lecture performance that deals with the „truthfighters” of far-right propaganda (as they call themselves) who produce their own „alternative truth” and this way they create a „knowledge crisis”. Kricsfalusi reconstructs how the „truth movements” instrumentalize the left-wing committed aesthetic strategies of political art in their online and offline performances, by relying on the tools of theatre. In her analysis she concludes that the theatre’s dispossession from the monopoly it has on the as-if modus is actually the remediation of the theatre enabled by the internet, which draws the attention that following the appropriation of the traditional illusion theatre techniques and performance art strategies these can be re-appropriated.
