Summary/Abstract: Theory of gestalt therapy is relational in its basis, it persists on a relation and on a dialogue. Relation is the most important part of gestalt therapy and it is interesting that there are two different kinds of gestalt therapists: those who call themselves an original therapists - they think that there is no need to put a word relation in a focus of gestalt therapy because relationship is the part of gestalt therapy anyway. And there are those gestalt therapists who call themselves relational gestalt therapists who oriented themselves firmly toward relational. The idea of this paper is to clarify what the relational orientation means and to point out authors that have contributed the most to relational orientation in the work of the gestalt therapist. Those authors are Martin Buber, Robert Hycner and Gary Yontef.
