Summary/Abstract: Through the sunken-featured buildings documented often in the Late Iron Age and Early Roman villages the paper examines the possible survival of this feature and the settlements. The transformation of the La Tène D-villages to Roman Vici was multifactor, which offers examples of investigating the Romanisation process.
