Summary/Abstract: De nomine piscium. Fish names in old Romanian dictionaries (Dictiones latinæ cum valachica interpretatione). In his endeavour, the author aims to analyse the way in which Teodor Corbea, Transylvanian scholar from the end of the 17th and beginning of the 18th century, succeeds in translating into Romanian language, in his dictionary, entitled "Dictioneslatinæ cum valahicainterpretatione", the fish Latin names. The dictionary is one of the oldest Romanian lexicographic works, which helps us, among other things, understand the rendering modalities of Latin words in Romanian language. During his investigative approach, after a historical and cultural presentation of the old context, the author intends to compose, firstly, an inventory of fish names (actually, the corpus of the study) and, afterwards, to explore it from different perspectives. The analysis of the language facts is especially lexical and semantical, but the author does not exclude other approaches, such as grammatical interpretation of the glossaries.
