Summary/Abstract: In Fănuș Neagu's prose there is a nuanced world, people who love, despise passionately, humiliated and humiliating, limited, with a vital force unprecedented in contemporary prose. His stories and short stories present realism and existential tragedy intertwined with strangeness, with the fabulous, the fantastic, gaining approaches to profane and biblical myths. The myth of drought close to the biblical one, fantastic, the reaction of the people who came out to meet the water, their fever, the people who live in a false life. The myth of the hero, of the brave one, who defeats his fear in order to release the water, bringing prosperity to the community. Analyzed since ancient times, it has been considered a source of debate in both literature and the arts. Dictionaries, secular and religious treatises emphasize the concept from a different angle. Folklore and mythological images used by authors in the fabric of a work of art have been interpreted as various forms of allegory and have been explained, for example, by the need to create memorable portraits. In the totalitarian societies generated by the twentieth century, in various aspects of their lives, myth occupied a strategic position.
