Summary/Abstract: This second part of the study focuses on the perspective of monarchic costume as a vector of Louis the 14th‘s image. As a combination between European traditional elements of clothing inside the royal court and those particular to French classicism and absolutist monarchy, the language of fashion gives information on the person who is the symbol of power, of prestige and especially of the king who appreciates beauty, who loves and practices the language of arts (ballet, theatre). The monarchic costume is amazing through its function as a pattern for the members of French society in the 17th century. Seen as a trendsetter, the king will settle a clothing style recognised through the elegance of costumes in Versailles palace in special events, through the pomp in the royal court, offering an image of brilliance that is meant to impress.
