Summary/Abstract: At the beginning of the 17th century there have been many attempts to overcome Aristotelian physics. One of the trends was the so-called "Mosaic physics" based on Scripture, not on the texts of Aristotle. The “Physicae Synopsis” by J. A. Komensky shows one of the options for such overcoming, with all its difficulties and successes.
