Summary/Abstract: The study presents the composition of the two types of inks, used to write documents and books over time. Also, the degradations to which they are subjected over time, and the effects on the paper produced by their composition. At the same time, the criteria according to which an object is chosen to enter a restoration process, and the restoration technique were analyzed.
