INTERACTIVE TECHNOLOGIES AND TOURIST GUIDANCE IN MUSEUMS

Summary/Abstract: Today, digitalization is used extensively in all sectors and is developing in all areas of human life. The use of interactive technologies during service production provides various benefits for producers and consumers. In the study, a literature review on interactive technologies and tourist guiding in museums was made, and conceptual explanations and interactive technology applications used in tourist guiding in museums today were emphasized. As a result, it is understood that interactive technologies are not used sufficiently in museums to provide experience for visitors, both in the world and in Turkey, but the digital applications used are constantly increasing. As a result of the study, suggestions are made about which digital technologies to use during the museum experience of tourists will be beneficial for both visitors and tourist guides.
