Summary/Abstract: In the Qur’an, it is stated that the world is a place of test and the hereafter is a place of punishment and reward, and in this sense, the man was created to serve Allah, and he will be held to account in this regard (al-Anbiyāʾ 21/16; al-Mulk 67/2). It is pointed out that human beings can be exposed to various troubles and calamities as a test requirement, and patience, trust, gratitude, etc., the importance of religious values is emphasized (al-Baqara 2/155; al-ʿAnkabūt 29/57-59). Mawlānā (d. 672/1273), also acts from this perspective of the Qur’an and draws attention to the positive effect of religious values on human psychology in coping with difficult situations in which people are helpless and helpless. In this context, he primarily focuses on the reality of death and advises on how to make sense of death and behave in the face of death.
