Summary/Abstract: In this article, the place and importance of the family institution in Islam will be discussed from the perspective of Imam Maturidi (d. 333/944). In this context, the importance of the family institution, which is tried to be destroyed due to political, ideological, social and economic reasons, will be emphasized, and its functions and functions will be tried to be determined in terms of individual and social life.
