Summary/Abstract: The topic of the research is the Polish-Bulgarian cooperation between 1990–2007. The basis of the analysis are documents from the Archive of the Polish MFA gained in 2018. The relations of both countries in this timeframe were analysed with acknowledging the particular significance of the international context. In the initial period, there was a difference in the degree of intensity of the cooperation between these countries regarding politics and economics. The political cooperation developed much easier and faster. There were no contentious issues in the relations. In later years, the unanimity of goals and priorities in internal and foreign policies facilitated the cooperation.
