Summary/Abstract: The emergence of new forms of criminal and illegal activity, causing negative effects on the security environment at the international and regional level determines the need to use new inter-institutional methods and activities for adequate and timely counteraction to new forms of illegal activity.This report aims to examine the use of undercover and undercover officers, carried out in a legally regulated coordination between the security services in the Republic of Bulgaria and the structures of the public administration. It examines the stages, forms and features of interaction between institutions, refracted through the prism of Bulgarian legislation and bylaws governing the use of undercover and undercover officers.
